Why Should You Remove Honeybees from Your Home?
Removing honeybees from inside your home is essential for several reasons.
First, honeybees play a vital role in pollinating crops and supporting our ecosystem. While they are crucial to the environment, they need to be relocated to a more suitable habitat—not inside your home or building.
Second, honeybee colonies are permanent. Unlike seasonal pests, honeybees don’t just come and go—they establish a hive that grows year-round. If they were to leave for any reason, they would leave behind remnants of the hive, including honey, pollen, and bee larvae, which can attract pests and cause structural damage. Simply put, you don’t want that inside your walls!
Professional removal ensures that both your home and the honeybees are properly taken care of.

Elkins Park:
In this removal, the honeybees were located in a roof awning hung from the building without posts. It had to be carefully worked on to prevent it from collapsing while we removed structural wood to access the honeybees. We were able to salvage the decorative wood and replace the ceiling so as to preserve the esthetic of the decorative entryway.
In this case, the homeowners never sprayed the honeybees (unfortunately this is typically a gut reaction to insects in your home) because of this we were able to offer some of the excess comb honey to the owners.

We had a massive beehive (over 100,000 bees!) in the eaves above our front-door awning and we were struggling to find anyone qualified to safely relocate the bees while also maintaining the structural and aesthetic integrity of our house. The team at 4 Brothers saved the day! Sarah and Justin understand both the beekeeping and the contracting side of complex bee removal jobs. As a family business, they were easy to work with and shared exactly what was happening before, during and after the job. The price was fair and the workmanship excellent. They also went through the trouble of bottling a dozen bottles of raw honey comb from the hive that we had been unwittingly supporting! Delicious!. If you are in need of a team of true professionals for bee removal who care about their customers and their craft, I highly recommend 4 Brothers.
All the best,

Warminster
In this removal, access was quite challenging there was a main power supply cable for the house that needed to be removed in order to access the honeybee colony. We had to set up an intricate scaffold and planking system due to some fencing in the yard and the height of the colony. The home owner reported seeing the bees as far as 4 years prior and they had attempted to treat with insect spray many times, as you can see in the photo that was not successful and resulted in an extremely large colony.

Joseph Ambler Inn
This location is a very active hotel and wedding venue. We needed to work closely with their team to ensure the honeybees were removed timely and safely so as to not disrupt the flow of their business. We utilized our 65’ articulated boom lift to access the colony over a large awning. We took care to match the pine crown molding profile along the entire side of the roof, and replaced it fully. Lastly, because of the use of the lift, which is on tracks, we graded and seeded the lawn to replace any disturbed area.
